Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Irving, Texas, this role focuses on accounts receivable responsibilities and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately. • Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information and investigating variances. • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records, ensuring compliance with established policies. • Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues and discrepancies. • Assist in generating financial reports and statements for management review. • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations. • Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows within the accounts receivable function. • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations. • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external clients. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
