Job Summary

The Global Business Services – Accounting Project Manager handles complex tasks for the general ledger and financial statements. Supervises and reviews work in assigned areas. Participates closely in preparing financial statements for assisted entities. Establishes a working relationship with the service provider, facility CFOs, their teams, and other departments. Trains and manages work, including projects.

Essential Functions of the Role

Manages the assigned accounting work of a region or area of responsibility.Supervises work in an outsourced environment.Oversees monthly close process.Reviews financial statements and perform financial analysis.Performs final review of account reconciliations and provides feedback as appropriate.Manages accounting audits both internally and externally, interacting with external auditors and internal auditors.Prepares financial statements and underlying help.Acts as a liaison with facility CFO and outsourced vendor.Helps in resolving reconciling items and business process issues.Elevates issues and communicates relevant financial information to other departments.

Key Success Factors

Master's degree in accounting or 150 semester hours. This includes 30 semester hours of upper-level accounting courses and 24 upper-level related business hours from a board-recognized college or university.4 years of experience; public accounting firm experience preferred.Proven knowledge of GAAP standards.Ability to perform accounting research.Experienced in working on team projects.Ability to manage work.Excellent communication skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work well with others.

 EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualificationEXPERIENCE - 4 Years of Experience CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION- Cert Public Accountant (CPA)
