Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an Accounting Officer Intermediate to join our DCT Financial Operations Team! This position will reconcile and replenish DCT’s imprest cash accounts as well as non-enterprise and social welfare accounts within SWIFT and with local banks. This position will assist with non-patient care billing, including accounts receivable management, invoice creation, and resolution of customer account issues. It will also provide guidance to DCT staff in these areas as needed. Primary responsibilities: + This position is responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations for DCT’s imprest cash accounts, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with DCT, DHS, MMB, and SWIFT policies and guidelines. + Maintain organized and accurate financial records to support internal controls and audit readiness. + Provide guidance and support to site staff to ensure successful completion of monthly reconciliation activities. + Assist with non-patient care billing functions, including invoice creation and management of accounts receivable. + Provide assistance to supervisors, managers, and other staff members as assigned. This position has a flexible work arrangement that may allow for Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) or a mixture of working in our office and Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) ; This team is currently Teleworking (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) ; however, this may change in the future with notice. **Minimum Qualifications** ****To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**** One (1) year of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or cash reconciliation experience that demonstrates the following: + Experience with financial systems (i.e., SWIFT, GASB) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications. + Experience with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Excel spreadsheets to support accounting and reconciliation processes. + Experience resolving fiscal discrepancies and developing and implementing fiscal procedures. + Experience interpreting and analyzing fiscal data, reports, and records. + Experience with bank account reconciliation and resolving variances or discrepancies OR Three (3) years of administrative support experience in the area of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or cash reconciliation, that demonstrates the following: + Experience entering information into various financial systems (i.e., SWIFT, GASB) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications. + Experience with building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Excel spreadsheets to support accounting and reconciliation processes. + Experience supporting the development and implementation of fiscal procedures. + Experience entering and creating fiscal data, reports, and records. + Experience with bank account reconciliation and resolving variances or discrepancies Note: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related degree may substitute of 1 year of administrative support experience. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, finance or closely related field + Experience in human relations + Our employees are dedicated to ensuring cultural responsiveness.
