Job Title: Accounting & Office Manager
Location: Onsite - Des Moines, IA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Beacon Hill's client in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Accounting & Office Manager to lead business and accounting operations while ensuring an exceptional resident experience. This individual will manage financial responsibilities, HR functions, and community recordkeeping, all carried out in a professional and service-oriented manner. The Accounting & Office Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and serve as a trusted resource for residents, families, employees, and vendors.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and distribute monthly billing statements; oversee accounts receivable collections.
Respond to resident and family inquiries regarding billing charges promptly and professionally.
Manage Human Resources functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee paperwork.
Ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting for the community.
Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Support a high standard of resident satisfaction and employee engagement.
Qualifications5+ years of progressively responsible office operations experience, including payroll, AP, AR, and GL.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain billing charges and interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business applications.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and uphold community standards.
Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
