Our client, one of the big 5 banks in Canada, is looking to hire eager accounting new grads that are looking to get their foot in the door with one of the banks. No banking experience is required! Please note - this job is hybrid with the expectation of working in the office once a week in the downtown Toronto area. Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: + Collect and compile financial data from branches, including information related to dormant accounts, money orders, drafts, and cheques. + Enter and organize data using Excel and internal systems to support accurate reporting. + Prepare and transmit financial information to the Bank of Canada, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. + Perform manual account closures and maintain accurate account records. + Sort, review, and analyze both physical and digital documents for accuracy and completeness. + Conduct investigations and verification of documents to resolve discrepancies or missing information. + Reconcile account balances and ensure consistency between internal records and outgoing reports to the Bank of Canada. + Work with both digital inputs and physical paperwork — approximately 50% of work will involve document handling and 50% digital processing. + Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflows whether working with electronic data or physical documentation.
