Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and enhance our financial operations. This role involves managing critical accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and leading key audits. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting practices and a commitment to maintaining compliance with financial standards. Responsibilities: • Oversee monthly financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all related tasks. • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and reconciliation of accounts. • Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. • Coordinate and support financial audits, working closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation. • Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting principles. • Maintain Percent of Completion (POC) Cost schedules. • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance. • Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff, including a Cost Accountant, fostering growth and development. • Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and support organizational goals. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial management and reporting. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of Percent of Completion, financial statement preparation and audit coordination. • Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry review. • Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. • Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage and mentor a team. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
