Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for an organization in the property management industry. The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department for multiple properties. This role involves supervising a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting budget preparation, and maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities: • Supervise daily accounting operations for multiple properties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations • Prepare monthly financial statements and property specific reports • Ensure timely and accurate posting of property income, expenses, and accruals • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures • Monitor cash flow and ensure compliance with local regulations • Lead and support month end and year end closing processes • Oversee budget preparation and forecasting in collaboration with property managers and senior leadership • Coordinate annual audits, financial reviews, and tax filings with external auditors • Manage and mentor accounting team members including training, performance feedback, and career development • Collaborate with property management, leasing, and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and effective communication • Analyze variances and identify trends in property performance for reporting to leadership • Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information • Complete assignments and meet deadlines in a timely manner • Perform other duties as assigned If you meet the qualifications and are ready to take the next step, call us at (314) 262-4344 for immediate consideration. Requirements • Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and preparation. • Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entries. • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple properties. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines. • Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools relevant to the industry. • Strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements.
