Description bout the Company: We are seeking a results-driven Accounting Manager with strong experience in the transportation/logistics industry to lead and oversee daily accounting operations. This position requires a hands-on detail oriented with a large company mindset and a proactive approach to managing the full month-end close process. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SAP, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a proven track record of managing accounting functions with precision and leadership. About the Role: This role involves leading and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department Lead and execute full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP Maintain general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and journal entries Partner with FP& A, operations, and senior leadership to support business initiatives Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices Supervise and develop accounting staff Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager Strong experience using SAP (required) Background in a large company environment, preferably within transportation or logistics Hands-on, take-charge attitude with demonstrated ownership of the month-end close process Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Skills: CPA certification (a plus) Experience with multi-entity accounting and high-volume environments Pay range and compensation package: The base pay range for this role is between 100,000 -110K; your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
