Brittany Bui with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Fairview, Oregon. In this role, you will oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various financial processes. This position will play a key role in managing revenues, expenditures, and financial reporting for state and federal grants, as well as supporting broader departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate accounting operations to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational standards.
• Manage financial activities related to general funds, special revenue funds, and restricted resources, including state and federal grants.
• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, year-end, and ad hoc financial reports.
• Provide training and support to school and department staff on financial software and systems usage.
• Reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy in all financial data.
• Conduct complex financial analyses to inform decision-making processes.
• Assist with audits, including government audits and reviews of internal controls.
• Prepare mandatory financial reports in accordance with established guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with senior financial officers to deliver insights and recommendations.
• Support additional Finance Department projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with financial statement audits, including compliance with OMB A-133 standards.
• Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and GASB guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct internal control reviews and implement effective controls.
• Expertise in journal entries, financial reporting, and complex financial analysis.
• Familiarity with government audit processes and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
