Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations within the construction/real estate sector, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial management. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of high-profile commercial properties.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including variance analysis and account reconciliations, for review by upper management
• Manage and oversee key accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, depreciation, and mortgage payments.
• Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff, ensuring high performance and attention to detail in their development.
• Track construction costs and assist in preparing loan draw documentation.
• Coordinate the preparation of operating expense reconciliations and schedules for various properties.
• Generate detailed reconciliations and reporting for complex multi-entity accounts.
• Assist in cash flow projections, forecasting, and the development of annual budgets.
• Ensure compliance with loan requirements, including quarterly and annual reporting, escrow and reserve reviews, and related tasks.
• Oversee the timely filing of NM Gross Receipts tax returns and annual Form 1099 reporting, as well as prepare year-end tax packages for submission to tax preparers.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
• At least five years of experience in accounting, finance, and cash management, ideally within construction. and/or real estate
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other commonly used software applications.
• Strong skills in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial statement audits.
• Experience with cash forecasting, account reconciliations, and managing fixed assets.
• Ability to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other core accounting functions effectively.
