Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial audits, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting. This long-term contract role requires someone with strong attention to detail, capable of analyzing complex financial data and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough financial audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reporting. • Investigate and resolve inconsistencies between cash verification records and bank statements. • Analyze monthly financial statements to pinpoint and address anomalies. • Review financial data across multiple accounts to maintain transparency and compliance. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to assess and reconcile financial records. • Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. • Oversee general ledger activities and ensure proper documentation of transactions. • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support financial accuracy. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and controls. • Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on audit findings. Requirements • Proven experience in financial auditing and accounting management. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end close procedures. • Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements. • Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and identify discrepancies. • Familiarity with journal entries and maintaining accurate financial documentation. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
