Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are working with a client looking to add an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting functions of their growing real estate organization. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, optimizing processes, and supporting a variety of real estate accounting operations including property accounting, AP/AR, and general ledger maintenance. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance across multiple entities and properties + Manage and mentor a team of property accountants and accounting staff + Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes + Prepare and review internal financial reports, variance analyses, and support schedules + Coordinate property-level and corporate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP + Partner with asset management, property management, and development teams to support operational goals and provide financial insights + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis across the real estate portfolio + Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency + Manage annual audits and support tax preparation with external auditors and tax advisors + Implement and optimize accounting systems, software, and workflows to support a growing portfolio Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required) + 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role + Strong understanding of real estate accounting, including property-level accounting, CAM reconciliations, and construction/development accounting + Experience with Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar real estate accounting platforms strongly preferred + Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail + Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
