Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee critical financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting processes. This role involves managing general ledger activities, performing detailed reconciliations, and leading month-end and year-end close procedures. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, this position offers an opportunity to play a key role in financial analysis and reporting while contributing to process improvements. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post accurate journal entries for revenue, expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities. • Perform thorough monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, addressing discrepancies and maintaining supporting documentation. • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise financial statements. • Assist in creating financial statements, conducting variance analyses, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring proper elimination for consolidated reporting. • Provide schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits, addressing inquiries and implementing recommendations. • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls. • Collaborate with teams to gather necessary financial data and insights for reporting. • Support the implementation of new accounting systems or modules as needed. Requirements • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including expertise in general ledger management and month-end close processes. • Proven ability to manage accounting tasks for multiple operating entities with substantial revenue volumes. • Advanced proficiency with accounting software systems such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite, along with strong Excel skills. • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Excellent attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
