Summary Champion Homes is seeking a dynamic, experienced Accounting Manager to help facilitate core accounting functions for the corporate team. Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounting function, and applicable team. This role will be instrumental in completing required reporting, monthly reconciliations. Additional responsibilities include data entry coordination, quality assurance, and communication with billing sources to ensure the accuracy of processing.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n

 \n\nManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.\nBuild an understanding of and support current month end close processes\nResponsible for preparing and reviewing month end (including quarterly and annual) close Corporate journal entries and reconciliations\nAssist with process improvement and automation of current processes\nManage the operational and financial reports changes\nOversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.\nCheck the validity of trial balances, calendars and budgets.\nJE preparer for corporate and Champion Home Builder plants payroll.\nImplement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.\nCoordinate with auditors to support SOX compliance\nManage cross functional communication with AR and AP shared services teams, Treasury, and other business functions to drive company's financial objectives\nResponsible for training and performance management for accounting staff\nAssist with the design and implementation of Oracle close processes\nAssist with design and implementation of Oracle close reporting\nEnsures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.\nSet-up and maintain accounting of Centralized Accounts Payable.\nReview vendor monthly statements against their transaction history in the computer system. Research and follow up on any discrepancies on statements and per vendor invoice status requests by phone and e-mail.\nCompile out of period reports at month end for unmatched receiving.\nFile and maintain paid accounts payable files.\nComplete tax resale certificates as needed for vendors.\n\n

Qualifications Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 4-7 years of related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n

 \n

 \n

Other Skills and Abilities \n\nMust be able to travel up to 10% of the time annually.\nWorking knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e., SOX, audits)\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers.\nStrong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible.\nAdvanced understanding of accounting principles and basic tax knowledge.\nProject management skills.\nAdvanced systems knowledge (Excel and other analytical systems).\nComplete understanding of the financial close process.\nUnderstanding of local and state compliance requirements (payroll, property, sales, tax).\nPeople management.\nAbility to develop and maintain G&Os.\n\n
