We are representing a confidential, vertically integrated real estate investment platform seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to oversee a high-performing AP team. The company specializes in acquiring and optimizing multifamily properties in prime Bay Area submarkets, with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. About the Role This leadership position manages a large, multi-location accounts payable team and plays a key role in driving process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is not only an AP subject-matter expert but also an effective leader who thrives in unstructured, fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities: + Lead and mentor a team of AP professionals + Oversee high-volume AP operations + Partner with leadership on process improvement and system implementation projects. + Manage full-cycle month-end close for AP-related accounts. + Act as a strong liaison between US and offshore teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and vendor satisfaction. Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile + Experience: 5+ years in accounting within real estate (multifamily preferred), including 3+ years managing a team. Technical Skills: + Full cycle month-end close experience. + Proficiency with Yardi. + Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). + Leadership: Proven track record of managing distributed teams, fostering accountability, and driving results. + Mindset: Independent thinker, problem solver, adaptable in an unstructured environment. + Bonus Points: Understanding of purchase order requisition workflows.
