The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing accounting operations across multiple senior living communities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, timely month-end close processes, and effective coordination between community business offices and the corporate finance team. The Accounting Manager provides leadership in financial analysis, process improvement, and audit readiness to support the overall financial health of the organization.

 

Areas of Responsibility

Oversee accounting staff and functions for multiple communities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Support budgeting and forecasting processes; provide financial insights to leadership for strategic planning. Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and applicable federal/state regulations. Review and audit resident billing, AR/AP, and payroll entries to ensure proper coding and alignment with corporate standards Implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls across accounting functions. Serve as point of contact for external auditors; coordinate audit requests and ensure timely completion. Monitor internal controls and risk areas to ensure compliance across multiple states of operation.
