Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. Rissman. Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat. Overview The Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with company policies. This role oversees staff accountants in accounts payable, income audit, and general cashier functions, while assisting the Director of Finance with accounts receivable, accruals, and month-end closing activities. Duties and Responsibilities Review daily cash drop overages/shortages with staff accountant and enforce cash handling policies. Run and review daily Sertifi EOD reports to confirm all payments are processed and posted in PMS; ensure Sertifi ACH payments credited in the bank are posted to PMS. Supervise staff accountant work in Accounts Payable (AP), Income Audit, and General Cashier responsibilities. Ensure monthly invoices are posted correctly and Statements of Accounts (SOA) are reconciled. Assist staff accountant in preparing month-end AP accruals with documentation for submission by the 5th, and support DOF in additional accruals without invoices. Assist in posting brand invoices, processing reward reimbursements, and coordinating bi-weekly AP payments with DOF. Coordinate with Banquets & Catering (B&C) and Sales to process deposits; verify BEO and Audio Visual invoices are correctly entered/posted in PMS after each event. Review postings to group folios, prepare and send final billings, follow up with Sales/B&C for payments, and apply payments in PMS. Enter Hilton’s advance purchases and discounts into PMS and submit weekly AR balance status for CA18 and CA19. Review monthly balances of guest ledger, city ledger, and advance deposits with DOF. Prepare and submit daily IJ reports for F&B, Spa, and HC; review accuracy of F&B/Spa/HC reports and completion of night audit packets. Verify that room charges and house accounts are posted with valid tickets; ensure night audit staff correctly enter comp accounts and revenues are zeroed out in PMS. Expense comps monthly by COS % to appropriate departments. Assist with preparing and issuing manual payroll checks; attend and complete all required HR trainings. Review chargebacks and dispute where appropriate; ensure compliance with company accounting policies in collaboration with DOF. Assist DOF in reviewing GL accounts and submitting RCJs to CAO during closing; complete additional accounting tasks as assigned by DOF. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel operations. Strong knowledge of PMS, financial reporting, and accounting principles. Experience supervising and mentoring accounting staff. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $70,000.00/Yr. - $90,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
