The opportunityDelaware North is hiring an Accounting Manager, GBS to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end General Accounting processes (Record to Report or R2R) for Delaware North, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance, a strong control environment, and support for consolidated financial statements. PayMinimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $92,200 – $116,100 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Oversee and manage the general accounting function for the Gaming subsidiary and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time. Lead the project to transition the gaming subsidiary onto the Shares Services model to improve organizational efficiency. Provide coverage for vacancies at gaming sites as required. Facilitate transition to robotics processing for journal entries. Implement and automate new processes and procedures for executing DSRs. Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency. Maintain accurate and complete financial records and support the year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested More about you Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; professional certification such as CPA or MBA strongly preferred Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role or equivalent Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other financial systems such as Blackline, Workday, and OneStream a plus Shift detailsDay shift
