About the Opportunity:

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a seasoned Senior Accountant ready to step up, or an Accounting Manager looking for a dynamic, hands-on environment. The position will report to the Controller and will oversee an Accountant and an AP/AR specialist. This is a critical role supporting the company’s financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, inventory management, and payroll oversight. The ideal candidate is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly close process and prepare timely, accurate financial statements.Develop and maintain accounting controls, including inventory and AP/AR processes.Oversee payroll review and reconciliation with a third-party provider.Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules; prepare property tax declarations.Monitor inventory valuation, usage, and cycle counts; process adjustments as needed.Maintain and update business performance dashboards and KPIs.Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and compliance certificates for banking and PE partners.Support budgeting and forecasting processes; maintain financial models.Manage insurance renewals (property, casualty, executive lines).Assist with financial audits and respond to ad hoc requests from the private equity firm.Supervise AP, AR, and Payroll functions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience with inventory accounting and cost analysis.Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
