Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the daily financial operations and reporting for their business. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of financial data, maintaining internal controls, and guiding the accounting team toward operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a deep understanding of financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including monthly profit and loss statements, budget progress updates, and weekly cash flow analyses.
• Analyze financial results and provide actionable recommendations to improve overall performance.
• Supervise the general ledger team to ensure efficient operations.
• Deliver timely cash flow updates and general ledger reports to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper allocation of costs by division.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enforce internal controls and facilitate external audits.
• Work closely with IT teams to identify system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Evaluate organizational financial performance in relation to operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve departmental efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team by providing coaching, performance monitoring, and constructive feedback.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proven expertise in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial statement audits.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and financial procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
• Proficiency in identifying software solutions to enhance financial and operational reporting.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
• CPA or CPA-track highly desired.
