Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will perform the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Ensure internal control processes are solid, monitored closely, and that compliance is well-documented. + Assist in the development of detailed annual budgets. + Act as back-up for preparation and input of recurring transactions, including payables, customer billings, and deposit entry. + Assist with event settlements, and related ticketed-event accounting reconciliations and close-outs. + Prepare timely event & flash reports; reports within 3 days of event. + Perform majority of month-end financial close tasks, for all 3 venues, including expense (including payroll) accruals, bank transactions, expense allocations (esp. labor) to events for event P&Ls, expense amortizations, reserve analysis and adjustment, and vendor revenue-share accounting. + Prepare and perform balance sheet (esp. bank) reconciliations. + Prepare financial statement package monthly, and other required reports. + Prepare and document detailed variance analysis, then perform related financial statement reviews with management personnel. + Prepare detailed forecasting models monthly. + Prepare and file monthly and annual tax and related reporting. + Perform special analysis projects, to assist others and ensure the financial budget is achieved. + Develop and establish procedures to improve existing systems. + Act in a cash-support capacity at all 3 venues, as needed. + Act as back-up to Box Office Manager, as needed. + Other duties may be assigned. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience + B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university preferred. + CPA preferred. + At least 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at an advanced level. Skills and Abilities + Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting. + Excellent math skills, and high aptitude for figures. + Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability. + Ability to work with and maintain highly-confidential information is required. + Extensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets (Excel), and word-processing software.
