Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department for our clients. This critical role is responsible for managing a team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements to support organizational goals. Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
+ Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance on complex financial tasks and career development.
+ Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations.
+ Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
+ Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
+ Assess and improve existing accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
+ Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to manage audits and filings.
+ Support financial planning and forecasting processes by providing necessary accounting insights.
+ Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll functions, ensuring proper execution and compliance.
Requirements
+ 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in public accounting or relevant industry preferred.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. A CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
+ Advanced proficiency with accounting systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks. Strong analytical skills using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and projects in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
+ CPA certification is strongly preferred but not required.
