Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. Reporting directly to the President, you will oversee a small accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making to drive our continued growth. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, optimizing financial processes, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities 

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to provide insights for management. Ensure compliance with GAAP, franchise reporting requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls; coordinate with external tax advisors as needed. Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance. Oversee cash flow management, inventory accounting (specific to our custom products), and cost analysis to support operational efficiency. Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and manufacturing, to align financial strategies with business goals. Handle financial planning for expansions, investments, or franchise-specific initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred. 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and t compliance; experience in construction-related industries is a plus. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving process improvements. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; this position works in the Poway Office.
