Job DescriptionABOUT YOUR ROLE:
You will oversee statutory and US GAAP accounting with responsibility for team management, accounting, treasury, Indirect tax, and Direct tax compliance. You will report directly to the Finance Director.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
You will have direct responsibility for the Controllership of Thailand.
You will ensure quality of financial information throughout the accounting process, complete and accurate statutory and US GAAP reporting, income and other tax compliance, and monitoring and oversight for transfer pricing.
You will ensure appropriate internal controls aimed at ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistency of our financial information.
You will partner with Business Partners,Shared Service organizations and all stakeholders on various accounting and control issues
Monitor adherence to global and local accounting policies
Support and educate the accounting organization on new accounting pronouncements impacting the company’s financial statements-
Ensure effective internal controls around Free Cash Flow
Ensure all local tax compliance filings are complete and accurate for direct & indirect tax
Oversee the preparation of tax-related documents in support of the annual compliance activities and ensure accuracy and completeness
Support development of, and compliance with, the company's transfer pricing policies
Proactively drives and engages in process improvement projects/ global/Regional initiatives.Build and develop high level relationships with business and functional leaders.
Provide training and enhance awareness to all employees with regard to policy compliance.
Partner with the functional and business leaders to support, develop, and achieve annual operating plans for other working capital
Conduct performance reviews of the team and oversee their training and development to ensure development of talent.
Effectively select, onboard, and train new associates, as needed
Ensure compliance to corporate reporting requirements.
Ensure proper inventory cycle count and lead annual full inventory physical count.
Oversee credit management and customer communications.
QualificationsCPA, Chartered Accountant, ACCA , CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent, required
10+ years of total experience working, out of which three years in a similar role with experience of working in a manufacturing company.
Expertise in statutory financial accounting rules, US GAAP, P&L, Free Cash Flow, Tax is mandatory
Experience of setting up ERP will be an added advantage.
Effective relationship builder and communicator, solution-oriented, influencer.
Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage time, work independently, and prioritize multiple ongoing assignments and deadlines
Process oriented, problem-solving mentality
Fluency in English required.
Experience in effective change management
