About the Opportunity

The International Accounting Team (covering both the EMEA and APAC regions) is looking to appoint an Accountant. The role will support a number of areas across the Accounting team globally including VAT, OPEX and will have additional focus on Territory specific accounting while ensuring local statutory compliance in each of the countries. You will need to manage competing priorities, work independently and communicate efficiently. We are a fast-paced environment, with constant change and being adaptable is the key to success in this role! We are looking for someone who is a dynamic team player who enjoys cross functional working and wants to be part of a growing team!

Key Responsibilities:

VAT & OPEX Accounting

Partner with the Indirect Tax team, with a focus on improving processes and timely & accurate submission of returns, prepare and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations, ensure invoicing is correctly being accounted for in compliance with VAT legislation globally

Working closely with the business operations and technology teams to ensure OPEX is accurately and consistently accrued and reported

Evaluating monthly any aged accruals & preparing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring these are reconciled and variances are fully understood

Supporting our outsourced accounting function on monthly basis

Review the Income Statement and balance sheet and provide comprehensive analytics on movements

Territory Accounting

Timely completion of monthly close process

Prepare analytical reviews across Income Statement and Balance Sheets

Liaise with Territory Finance across the region, ensuring accounting records align with forecasting

Local GAAP Accounting

Work closely with the Statutory Reporting Team, and manage relationships with external accounting service providers

Identify process weaknesses/errors and implement improvements

Provide accurate and timely completion of monthly US GAAP to local GAAP reconciliations across various International Countries

About You 

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Big four audit background preferable

1+ years post qualified experience 

Year end audit / financial statement preparation (US GAAP/IFRS)

Strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to build relationships

Experience in the preparation of month end close processes, with strong experience completing complex reconciliations 

Experience with various GAAP submissions
