We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join the Finance Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively be responsible for the finance and accounting in relation to the Business Development and Bidding functions. Providing financial expertise and support to key stakeholders which will require the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ensuring timely and accurate reporting that complies with relevant statutory and accounting standards requirement.

Your focus will include:

 

Provide expert financial information and advice to the Business Development and Bidding Managers, including identifying and facilitating improvements to financial reporting and processes. Coordinating and managing the Budgets/Forecasts processes with functional budget owners, including analysis of revenue and costs. Regularly review and analyse costs against bid budgets and distribution of cost reports to key stakeholders in a timely manner. Key finance support to bid/business development team and ensuring all compliance and approvals have been met. Manage WBS codes creations and ensure effective cost controls are in place. Ensure purchase requisitions are raise accurately and in a timely manner and within approved budgets, including receipting of invoices. Monitor cashflow related to tenders, ensuring proper invoicing, collections, and payment terms are established.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

4-5 years experience in a Senior Accounting role Previous experience within a corporate construction environment would be advantageous Experience using SAP or similar ERP is desired Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting or equivalent
