Description
We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-hire position based in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will provide reliable support to the accounting team by performing essential financial and administrative tasks, including managing data entry, reconciling accounts, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. Proficiency with QuickBooks OR Sage is required to excel in this role. This position offers a pathway to long-term employment based on performance and dedication.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into accounting software systems.
+ Reconcile accounts, including vendor statements, bank accounts, and credit card transactions.
+ Process invoices, ensure proper coding, and support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
+ Maintain organized accounting records, ensure proper filing, and prepare reports upon request.
+ Assist with payroll processing and other administrative tasks as needed.
+ Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or accounting-related inquiries.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounting operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Experience: Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
+ Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks OR Sage accounting software.
+ Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
+ Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in industries such as construction, retail, real estate, healthcare, or professional services.
+ Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.

+ Must be able to pass a background check prior to starting employment.
+ This is a temp-to-hire position, offering potential for long-term placement based on performance.
