Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's team for a long-term part time (25 hours per week) contract position in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth processing of accounts payable and receivable. For immediate consideration, please apply online first, then contact our finance and accounting talent team at (937) 224-0600 Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with a high degree of accuracy. • Perform data entry tasks to maintain and update financial records in the accounting system. • Review, verify, and process invoices and purchase orders according to company policies. • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. • Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring proper filing and accessibility. • Utilize Sage 50 software to manage and record financial transactions efficiently. • Communicate with vendors and clients to address and resolve any billing or payment inquiries. • Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare reports as needed. • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related accounting role. • Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software. • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Familiarity with processing invoices and purchase orders. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and team members.
