Description This search is being conducted by Steve Spinello. We are looking for a well rounded Accounting Clerk to join our team our client's team in Dalton, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling transactions, and maintaining daily cash flow. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual eager to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices and verify expense coding to ensure timely and accurate payments. • Assist with Accounts Payable posting • Reconcile check runs and review transactions to ensure compliance with company policies. • Monitor daily cash flow, identify discrepancies, and report any issues to management. • Post and review journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger. • Ensure adherence to financial policies and assist in preparing for audits when necessary. • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements across departments. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting role, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries. • Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is a plus, but not required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and basic formulas; experience with accounting software is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve financial discrepancies effectively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with vendors, clients, and team members. • Highly organized with strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous.
