Description Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team in The Woodlands, Texas. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset. The position is fully onsite, Monday-Friday from 8-5. Responsibilities: • Record daily deposits and bank transactions in the general ledger with precision and timeliness. • Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts to bank statements across multiple locations. • Collaborate effectively with facility teams and managers to address accounting inquiries and ensure smooth operations. • Reconcile monthly cash clearing accounts against cash receipts journal reports to maintain accuracy. • Process Positive Pay transactions for accounts payable checks to safeguard against payment discrepancies. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role. • Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus. • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently. • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
