Job Overview:
A professional security services company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their in-office Accounting Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative work environment and is passionate about supporting financial operations.
Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department by managing daily accounts receivable and payable tasks, assisting with month-end close activities, and providing administrative support to ensure accurate and timely financial records. This is a full-time, in-office position requiring a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Enter and apply customer payments
Match deposits to bank transactions
Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances
Resolve unapplied payments and credits
Prepare and issue client invoices
Address customer billing inquiries and discrepancies
Accounts Payable:
Enter vendor invoices in QuickBooks Online
Ensure accurate GL coding and documentation
Maintain vendor files and prepare payments
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
Month-End Support:
Assist with reconciliations and data review
Help identify and resolve accounting variances
Assist with company credit card and expense report processing
Qualifications:
2 years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience; or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in the Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy industry preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Full-time, in-office position
Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Previous experience in the Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy industry is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address and resolve discrepancies effectively.
