Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a casual yet dynamic environment and enjoys working with numbers and solving discrepancies. As an integral part of our accounting department, you will support key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounts payable, invoicing, and cash applications. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, including performing 3-way match • Invoicing for clients • Submit invoices through customer portals as required • Serve as backup for cash application duties, ensuring timely and accurate processing. • Resolve invoice discrepancies through analysis and collaboration with vendors. • Maintain organized records and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. • Utilize Excel for advanced tasks, such as creating pivot tables, to analyze and streamline financial processes. • Collaborate with the Controller and other team members to improve efficiency and implement best practices. • Support general accounting functions as needed, contributing to the overall success of the department. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles. • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and use pivot tables. • Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve invoice discrepancies. • Familiarity with accounting software systems • Effective organizational and time management skills to handle varying workloads. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
