Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Camarillo, California. This Contract position requires someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of general accounting principles. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth accounts receivable and payable operations. Responsibilities: • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately. • Handle payment processing and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies. • Perform monthly closings and reconcile bank accounts to maintain up-to-date financial records. • Maintain subsidiary ledgers and ensure they align with general accounting functions. • Generate detailed financial reports and assist in segmentation analysis as needed. • Perform ad hoc financial tasks and clerical duties to support the accounting department. • Investigate and resolve issues related to invoicing, payment, or ledger discrepancies. • Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve workflow. • Support general accounting functions and contribute to the overall financial accuracy of the organization. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. • Familiarity with payment processing and bank reconciliation. • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and procedures. • Ability to perform monthly closings and maintain subsidiary ledgers. • Proficiency in generating financial reports and conducting segmentation analysis. • Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving financial discrepancies. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and clerical abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This is a 6-week contract, onsite in Camarillo, CA.
