Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in south Orange County. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization specializing in food flavoring and chemical concentrates for the food industry. The role is fully onsite and involves handling essential accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately. • Manage invoice processing and ensure proper documentation and compliance. • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records. • Collaborate with the accounting team to support daily financial operations. • Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records for audits and reporting purposes. • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries. • Provide support for the Controller and Accounting Manager as needed. • Contribute to the smooth transition of administrative accounting tasks within the team. • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles. • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to process invoices and manage financial documentation effectively. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members. • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices. • Willingness to work fully onsite during standard business hours.
