Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization while contributing to essential accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and QuickBooks, with a detail-oriented approach to data management. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately. • Utilize QuickBooks for financial record-keeping and reporting. • Perform data entry tasks to ensure precise documentation of financial information. • Handle invoice processing, including verifying and reconciling discrepancies. • Assist with maintaining organized and up-to-date accounting records. • Collaborate with team members to support financial operations and resolve issues. • Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Monitor account balances and follow up on outstanding payments. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information. • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks for accounting tasks. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation procedures. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities. • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
