Accounting Clerk
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Salinas, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. Responsibilities: • Perform routine accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing and payment tracking. • Reconcile financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Manage billing processes and maintain organized records of transactions. • Enter data into accounting systems with precision and efficiency. • Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with audits as needed. • Handle routine administrative duties related to accounting functions. • Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and ensure compliance with financial policies. • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP to perform accounting tasks. • Assist with special projects related to accounting system upgrades or implementations. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries and issues. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with financial software applications, including Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Basic understanding of billing and invoice processing. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and addressing inquiries. • A degree in accounting or related studies is preferred but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
