Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Novelty, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial records, preparing for events, and maintaining accurate databases. Responsibilities: • Enter bills and invoices into QuickBooks to ensure accurate accounts payable records. • Scan, file, and organize checks and invoices for efficient record-keeping. • Prepare for events by organizing cash boxes, updating and charging Square terminals, and ensuring connectivity to Wi-Fi. • Reconcile credit card transactions, donor databases, and adoption service records. • Manage bank account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. • Sort and process incoming mail, including donations and invoices. • Record daily deposits into QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date financial data. • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and correspondence. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with accounts payable and receivable processes. • Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing. • Ability to reconcile financial records, including credit cards and bank accounts. • Exceptional organizational skills for managing mail, donations, and invoices. • Familiarity with Square terminals and event preparation processes. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
