Description Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and bilingual Accounting Clerk to join their team in North Houston, Texas. This is a contract-to-hire position within the Automotive industry, offering an excellent opportunity to grow your career in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial principles and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate financial records. The hours are Monday-Friday from 9-6, with some Saturdays required. Responsibilities: • Accurately input financial data and ensure proper maintenance of records. • Conduct daily account reconciliations and prepare journal entries as needed. • Compile and deliver monthly financial reports and statements. • Collaborate with internal departments to collect and verify financial information. • Utilize accounting software, including Sage, to manage transactions and records. • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently. • Monitor general ledger activities and resolve discrepancies. • Support multi-entity accounting tasks when required. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting function. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage. • Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry. • Ability to reconcile accounts and manage general ledger activities. • Experience with journal entries and preparation of financial reports. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members. • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
