Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Collierville, Tennessee. This is a long-term contract position within the logistics industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to vital financial processes. The role requires a strong focus on bank reconciliations, fraud prevention, and light administrative tasks while working on-site. Responsibilities: • Reconcile bank checks with internal software and fraud checklists to ensure accurate processing. • Review check images against PeopleSoft screens and determine whether to approve or reject checks. • Identify instances of employee overpayments and coordinate with the Processing team to initiate corrective actions. • Log overpayment checks into the case management system and prepare coding for deposits. • Assist in managing off-cycle checkroom operations and oversee related tasks. • Handle light payroll functions as needed, ensuring timely and accurate execution. • Support mailroom operations by processing incoming and outgoing checks. • Collaborate with banking partners such as Bank of America and Scotiabank to facilitate decision-making processes.
