Description Our client, in the construction/mining industry, is in need for an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis! The role will be 100% on-site at their location towards the Northside of Tucson. You will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by managing invoice data entry and assisting with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build their career in accounting while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic office environment. As the Accounting Clerk you will be: • Accurately input invoice data into accounting systems and ensure proper documentation. • Assist with Accounts Payable processes, including reviewing and paying vendor invoices. • Support Accounts Receivable tasks, such as tracking incoming payments and preparing reports. • Learn and utilize QuickBooks software to manage financial records effectively. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in invoices or payment records. • Provide general administrative assistance to the accounting department as needed - including sitting at the front desk, answering phones, and greeting clients. • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents. • Participate in training to develop a comprehensive understanding of accounting procedures and systems. Requirements • Basic understanding of accounting principles or willingness to learn. • Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Familiarity with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes is a plus. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. • Great attitude to help wherever needed, and loves to work with people • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in accounting is advantageous.
