Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Ephrata, Washington. In this role, you will assist with accounts payable tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial records. Responsibilities: • Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner. • Perform data entry tasks related to invoices, procurement cards, and other financial records. • Review and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Assist in reconciling discrepancies and resolving payment issues with vendors. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and records. • Support the department in catching up on backlogged accounting tasks. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines. • Monitor and report on financial data to support decision-making processes. • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and procedures. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a basic understanding of AP processes. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial tasks. • Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with accounting software. • Ability to enter invoices and handle procurement card transactions efficiently. • Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and team members. • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
