Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting compliance efforts. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and have a strong grasp of accounting principles. Responsibilities: • Accurately input financial data into accounting systems to ensure timely and precise recordkeeping. • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice and payment management. • Reconcile bank statements and verify financial transactions to maintain accuracy. • Generate financial reports, such as trial balances and summaries, to support organizational decision-making. • Assist in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements. • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial regulations. • Provide documentation and support during audits to facilitate smooth compliance processes. • Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve payment discrepancies and clarify financial matters. • Collaborate with other departments to gather and share necessary financial data. • Handle cash deposits and receipts, ensuring proper documentation and verification. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP. • Strong understanding of accounts reconciliation, payable, receivable, and invoice processing. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality. • Problem-solving abilities and basic mathematical skills. • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in accounting is preferred.
