The Accounting Clerk’s role will be to support all operation and administrative functions related to the daily operation of the plant.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Accounting Clerk responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Purchasing – receives requisitions, get quotes from vendors, enters and tracks PO requests for approval by Corporate Sourcing, releases approved PO’s to vendors, enters purchase receipts into the system Office Supplies – keeps inventory of all supplies Journal Entries – payroll accrual, cash in bank reconciliation, repair labor distribution worksheet, national account payment reclass Accounts Payable – email packaging slips and invoices to Corporate Accounting Mail – receive and distribute mail, and prepare outgoing mail Physical Inventory – counting and/or recording as necessary Journal Entries – scraps shipments shipped not billed, reconciles coils received each to coils transferred to General Ledger ,prepares coils received not paid journal entry and freight accrual Sales Payroll – backup for payroll functions payroll, including keeping overtime records, entering payroll, verifying accuracy and submitting to Corporate Payroll for processing Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
