Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team on a contract basis. Based in Sacramento, California, this role will focus on essential accounting tasks such as invoice processing, reconciliations, and assisting with audits. Ideal candidates should be comfortable working onsite and possess strong organizational and analytical skills. Responsibilities: • Process daily check runs and ensure accuracy in invoice reviews. • Organize and maintain financial records by printing, filing, and logging information into Excel spreadsheets. • Verify that documentation aligns with financial data and correct discrepancies as needed. • Assist with payroll-related tasks, including reviewing payroll registers and timesheets. • Analyze accounts payable invoices and ensure proper formatting and calculations. • Convert decimal figures to percentages for accurate reporting and analysis. • Support the annual audit process by gathering and organizing necessary files. • Perform account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and completeness. • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel, for efficient data management. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, with strong data entry skills. • Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation. • Ability to review payroll registers and timesheets with attention to detail. • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations. • Comfortable working onsite in Sacramento, California. • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
