Job Description

An Accounting Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Accounting Team and various other departments within the organization. The role involves performing essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.

ResponsibilitiesPerform AP/AR data entry and assist in the collections process.Work through Excel daily, proficiently using hotkeys, moving data, and performing VLOOKUPS from internal ERP systems and customer portals.Assist in the commercial collections process.Support Accounting Coordinators with collection processes concerning Home Center Customers.Organize and maintain all customer credits.Manage file systems, including year-end file changeover.Maintain both electronic and paper Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records.Assist with small projects when time permits.Set up, maintain, retrieve, and purge files according to established records retention regulations.Participate in monthly cycle count observations.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or its equivalent.Minimum of 2 years accounting experience.Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, formulas, hotkeys, and data manipulation.Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to be trained on EDI and Microsoft Business Central (inventory management software).Competence in operating various types of office equipment such as calculator, fax machine, photocopier, telephone, and computer.Reliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
