Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Hendersonville, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable and receivable processes while ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal control procedures. If you have a strong background in accounting and enjoy working with numbers, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: • Process weekly accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, verifying general ledger coding, and issuing payments. • Ensure payment documentation complies with internal control standards and financial policies. • Maintain vendor records and address discrepancies or missing invoices by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. • Reconcile accounts payable subledgers with vendor statements and resolve any inconsistencies. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as processing internal billing, importing receipts, and preparing reconciliations. • Generate and distribute financial reports to departments, including summaries of subledger activities and transaction records. • Prepare journal entries for refunds, credit card activities, payment platform transactions, and other recurring financial events. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable. • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting. • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. • Experience in processing invoices and managing payment workflows. • Familiarity with general ledger coding and reconciliation processes. • Ability to analyze discrepancies and resolve issues effectively. • Solid understanding of financial policies and internal controls.
