Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Antioch, California, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will play an essential part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and supporting daily accounting operations. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence 2 to 3 days per week for cash deposit handling and other responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments. • Reconcile financial accounts to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. • Handle daily bank deposits and ensure proper documentation for cash transactions. • Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking. • Perform data entry with precision, maintaining the integrity of financial information. • Process and verify invoices, resolving any discrepancies promptly. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to support financial reporting and analysis. • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. • Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting role. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping. • Knowledge of account reconciliation and invoice processing. • Ability to handle daily cash deposits and maintain proper documentation. • Effective communication and organizational skills. • Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
