Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Willmar, Minnesota. This position is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational efficiency within the agriculture industry. The role offers the opportunity to work with multiple systems and contribute to the success of the company’s financial operations. Responsibilities: • Reconcile weekly inventory data across multiple locations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Process operational invoices, including those related to fuel, electricity, and other key supplies. • Maintain fuel inventory records and assist with accruals to support financial reporting. • Handle feed transfers and monitor inventory systems for outdated or inconsistent data. • Generate performance reports to provide insights into financial and operational metrics. • Collaborate with accountants on special projects and data preparation tasks to ensure timely reporting. • Ensure accurate entry and management of financial data in relevant systems. • Support administrative accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or business is preferred. • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, data entry, or administrative roles, preferably within agriculture or manufacturing. • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with other Office applications. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members. • Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Experience with data entry and invoice processing is strongly preferred.
