Our client, a pioneering biotech company at the forefront of life sciences and innovation, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
+ Accurately process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
+ Maintain and update accounting records, vendor information, and financial data into accounting software with a high level of accuracy.
+ Perform bank account and invoice reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
+ Assist with issuing and managing invoices for clients and tracking payments.
+ Review employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and proper documentation.
+ Organize and maintain financial records, files, and reports for audits and future reference.
+ Assist with preparing journal entries and other tasks related to month-end close processes.
+ Support the finance team with various administrative duties, such as generating reports and managing documents.
Requirements
+ Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
+ Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, ideally within the biotech, life sciences, or healthcare industries (preferred but not required).
+ Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or any other ERP system.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups).
+ Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
+ Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
+ Basic understanding of biotech or healthcare industry accounting practices is a plus but not mandatory.
