Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is focused on transactional accounting and involves working with QuickBooks Desktop to efficiently process a high volume of daily transactions. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our accounting operations during a busy period. Responsibilities: • Process approximately 100 accounting transactions per day using QuickBooks Desktop. • Perform accurate credit reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity. • Conduct data entry tasks with a solid understanding of debits and credits. • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including billing and invoice processing. • Maintain organization and efficiency while managing high transaction volumes. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting purposes. • Collaborate with the accounting team to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential. • Basic knowledge of transactional accounting principles, including debits and credits. • Experience with account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis. • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and consistently. • Availability to start immediately and commit to a 2–3 month contract assignment. • Dependable and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
